At the end of the school year, use our complimentary boxes and packing tape to pack your college dorm or apartment essentials. We pick them up from your dorm or apartment and store your boxes and furniture all summer in secure, climate controlled storage facilities near campus. We re-deliver everything to your new dorm or apartment in August.
FAQs
How do I reserve a summer storage service space?
If you (or your student) attend Clemson or Furman, click on the sign up button above to reserve a summer storage service spot for 2025. You will pay a $50 deposit to reserve your space. Space is limited and sold out in 2023 and 2024, so sign up soon!
Is the $50 deposit refundable?
The $50 deposit is refundable prior to April 1st, 2025. After April 1st, 2025 the deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to your summer storage service invoice.
Can I sign up for both Summer Storage Service and Ship & Store if I need to send new items for my student?
Absolutely! You would need to sign up for both a Summer Storage Service and Ship & Store space separately to reserve space for both. As a bonus, for clients that sign up for both, your Ship & Store items will be delivered inside your student's apartment or dorm on the same day the Summer Storage items are delivered.
Do you provide packing supplies?
Yes! Each student will have the opportunity to pick up a complimentary packing kit on campus consisting of 5 boxes (24" x 18" x 18" large boxes), 1 roll of packing tape and labels. Additional kits are available for purchase at $35 each. You may also use your own boxes, suitcases or other containers if you prefer or need more.
Can you pack my dorm room for me?
We do not pack your items for you. Please have all items inside a box or tote prior to our arrival on pick up day. Each box and each item that does not fit inside a box is a separate item for the purposes of pricing. If we arrive and items are not already packed, you will need to reschedule to one of our available time slots and there will be a $50 rescheduling fee.
What if I run out of packing supplies?
You can purchase a second packing kit from us for $35 or you can purchase your own boxes and tape to use. Or pack in storage bins, bags and laundry baskets you already have in your dorm room.
Do I need to be there when the boxes are picked up?
Yes, the student does need to be present to allow us access to your dorm room and to ensure we are taking only the items you want stored. Parents do not need to be present, saving time and travel expenses. If for some reason the student is unable to be there during your scheduled delivery time, a designate alternate contact need to be there to allow us access to your room and sign for you. This would require a signed waiver ahead of time and we will check the ID of the alternate contact. If we arrive and no one is there to meet us, you will need to contact us to reschedule pick up and a $50 rescheduling fee will be added to your final invoice.
Where are my items stored over the summer?
All items are stored in a local climate controlled, secure storage facility near campus.
Can I share a plan with my roommate?
Since pricing is per item, each student must have their own plan. We send inventories and invoices to one email address, and since student's plans can change over the summer, we require everything to be kept on separate accounts. We also require each client to accept our terms & conditions.
Are there any items you won't store?
We will store just about anything under 100 lbs. with a few exceptions. We will not store firearms, hazardous or illegal materials, liquid Items, items containing gasoline, food or other perishables. We cannot store cash, jewelry and collectables and strongly suggest you do not store mirrors or TVs outside of their original boxes as they may become damaged or broken in storage or delivery.
How much will this service cost?
Cost depends on how much we store for you. Pricing is based per item for the 4 months of storage and cannot be prorated. The average number of items stored by our clients is 10 with an average cost of $638 per student. Pricing details can be found on our Summer Storage Pricing Sheet
What dates do you pick up & deliver at Clemson & Furman for 2025?
Move-out slots are available during the exam and move out week designated by the school. Move-in slots are available for a one week period designated by the School. Both calendars will be available once the schools have published these dates for 2025. If you need to schedule a move-out or move-in during a time or day not posted, please contact us about availability (additional $250 fee will apply to dates and times outside the normal delivery window).
When do you bill me for storing my items?
After we pick up your storage items, we will send you an inventory of boxes and other items we are storing for you. Invoices will be sent within 2 weeks of move-out and payment must be received within 30-days and prior to scheduling your delivery date. Please note: deliveries or pick-ups will not be scheduled until your account is paid in full.
What if I live off campus?
No problem! We can pick up and deliver within 5 miles of campus.
When do you deliver my items back to me?
Our move in calendar aligns with the school's moving dates and with local apartment communities (these dates will be posted after the schools have released their schedules). If your preferred date or time falls outside of the availability calendar, a $250 fee will apply and you will need to check with us to ensure we have availability on your preferred date.
Are there any other fees?
There are no hidden or extra fees for our Summer Storage service, unless unusual circumstances arise, such as the following:
Rescheduling fee: $50 if you reschedule your pickup or delivery within 72 hours of what you originally scheduled (you will need to reschedule from available time slots), Rescheduling after failed pick up or delivery attempt: $50 (you will need to reschedule from available time slots), Surcharge for boxes or items over 65 pounds $30 per box (NOTHING 100 LBS OR OVER WILL BE STORED), Distance delivery fee for pick up or delivery beyond 5 miles from campus will incur a $10 per mile distance pick up/delivery fee for a maximum distance of 10 miles from campus, Discard item fee $30 per item you would like for us to discard, Shipping cost - if student does not return to school in the fall and boxes need to be shipped instead of local delivery, there will be a handling fee of $30 per item in addition to UPS shipping and packing costs (if not in a box), Pick-up or Delivery outside of standard available date and time window - $250 fee
